Urban Infill INFILL 6

This inspiration standout feature is a cutout into the volume at the back of the building that allows natural light to flood into the middle of the house through a double-height glass wall. The main social area is open-plan, but with different attributes that define each space and add privacy.

With ample natural light provided by a cutout and double-height glass wall at the rear of the building, the design of this inspiration strikes a perfect balance between creative use of interior space and mood-enhancing light. From an entrance through a mudroom and laundry room, the main floor’s social space is open concept, with a dining room situated on the double height between the staircase and backyard patio, and the living room further back, separated from the kitchen by a fireplace. On the upper floor, the staircase divides the spaces, with the master bedroom at the back of the house and the other two bedrooms at the front. The master bedroom features an open-concept bathroom to catch natural light from the double-height glass wall.
